THAMES BOAT SAFETY
Thames Boat Safety is run and operated by Stuart Burgess who has been in the boating industry for over 40 years and a Boat Safety examiner/surveyor since the scheme was introduced. thamesboatsafety.co.uk is here to provide some general information about the Boat Safety Scheme inspection and provide a point of contact to an examiner. You may also find some helpful hints to make your inspection go smoothly.
Boat Safety Scheme
Thames Boat Safety is a member of the Boat Safety Scheme, a public safety initiative owned by the Canal & River Trust and the Environment Agency. This scheme is principally a type of 'MOT' for boats. Numerous licencing authorities throughout the UK have adopted this scheme as the minimum standard for craft on their waterways.
